The Province of Aurora exhibited strategic steps to improve the construction of the Project Kwarto ni Neneng. Originally, the province was among the identified beneficiaries of the Kwarto ni Neneng with a 500,000-peso fund as stipulated in the DILG Memorandum Circular 2024-033 or the Implementing Guidelines for the Projects "Bahay ni Neneng" and "Kwarto ni Neneng". But, the Provincial Government of Aurora took on the initiative to provide the counterpart fund worth 600,000 pesos which resulted in its upgrade to the Bahay ni Neneng.

The now accomplished Project Bahay ni Neneng and Kwarto ni Neneng, located at Sitio Setan, Brgy. Suklayin, Baler, Aurora, was inaugurated on March 18, 2026. The facility aims to provide a safe temporary shelter, particularly women and children who are victims of abuse or in crisis situations. Target LGU beneficiaries also include individuals experiencing difficult circumstances who require temporary custody or care under the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).

In addition, the compound where the Bahay ni Neneng and Kwarto ni Neneng was constructed is also the proposed site for two other establishments. First is the Halfway House for former rebels funded by the DILG through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP). Second is the Provincial Peace and Development Center, funded by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU). This underscores strong collaboration between the provincial government and national government agencies in building a community for individuals who are vulnerable or in need of support.

The Bahay ni Neneng and Kwarto ni Neneng projects align with the Department’s commitment to sustaining socially-protective LGUs and strengthening peaceful, orderly, safe, and secure communities.
